Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 2 oz
  • milk - 6 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 6 c
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 3/4 c
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 6 item
  • Velveeta cheese, cubed - 1 lb
  • butter/margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • very thin noodles - 8 oz

How to make cream of broccoli soup:

*Boil fresh broccoli; defrost frozen.

In a large pot, saute onion and butter 3 minutes. Add water and bouillon cubes; heat to boil and stir until bouillon cubes are dissolved. Gradually add noodles and salt; stir in broccoli. Add garlic powder; cook 4 minutes, uncovered. Reduce heat; add milk and cheese and stir until melted.
