Cream cheese pound cake



  • sugar - 3 c
  • vanilla
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • large eggs - 6 item
  • sifted cake flour - 3 c
  • sticks butter or margarine - 3 item

How to make cream cheese pound cake:

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add cream cheese and beat until fluffy. Add salt and vanilla. Add one egg at a time, beating after each addition. Turn mixer to low speed and fold in flour.

Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours* at 300° (preheated oven). Place Pyrex custard cup filled with water in the oven. (Place on rack beside tube pan.)

*Or until cake tests as done with toothpick.
