  • eggs - 3 item
  • granulated sugar - 1 c
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • vanilla extract
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • butter - 5 Tbsp
  • almond extract - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped walnuts optional - 1/2 c

How to make cream cheese brownies:

Melt chocolate and 3 tablespoons butter over very low heat. Cool. Cream 2 tablespoons butter with cream cheese and gradually add 1/4 cup sugar. Cream until fluffy. Beat in 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Set aside.

Beat 2 eggs until light, slowly add 3/4 cup sugar and beat until thickened. Add baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup flour. Blend in melted chocolate mixture, 1 teaspoon vanilla, almond extract and nuts.

Bake; spread 1/2 chocolate batter in greased 8 or 9-inch square pan. Top with cheese mixture. Add remaining chocolate batter over top. Zigzag a knife through batter to marble. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool before slicing.
