Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • water - 2 c
  • large onions, chopped - 2 item
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 4 item
  • crawfish tails - 1 2
  • stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
  • medium bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • red and black pepper - 1 item
  • shallots and parsley - 1 item

How to make crawfish etouffee:

Melt butter in heavy skillet. Saute vegetables for 30 minutes. Add seasonings to taste. Add crawfish and saute for 1 minute. Stir in flour and saute for 3 minutes. Add water and bouillon cubes. Simmer 10 or 15 minutes. Serve over cooked rice. Serves 4 to 6.
