Ingredients/Components
- butter or oleo - 1/4 lb
- sugar - 1 C
- eggs - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- can whole cranberry sauce do not drain - 1 lb
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 C
- tsp salt - 1/2 item
- pint sour cream - 1/2 item
- almond flavoring - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 C
- Add dry ingredients alternating with sour cream
- water - 1 tsp
How to make cranberry swirl coffee cake:
Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternating with sour cream. Add flavoring.Grease tube pan. Put in a layer of batter and a layer of cranberry sauce alternately swirling together after each layer. Sprinkle the top with the chopped nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Cool in pan before removing. Drizzle frosting over top.Frosting:3/4 C. confectioners sugar1/2 tsp. almond flavoring1 tsp. water Mix together until smooth. Drizzle over top of warm cake.
