Cranberry swirl cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- sour cream - 1/2 pt
- butter or margarine - 1/4 lb
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- confectioners sugar
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- warm water - 1 Tbsp
- can whole cranberry sauce - 1 oz
- almond flavor - 1 tsp
- crushed nuts - 1/2 c
How to make cranberry swirl cake:
Topping:3/4 c. confectioners sugar1 Tbsp. warm water1/2 tsp. almond flavor Cream butter or margarine and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients that are sifted together, alternating with sour cream, ending with dry ingredients. Add flavoring. Grease an 8-inch tube pan or large rectangular pan. Put layer of batter in bottom of pan. Swirl in some cranberry sauce, continuing to end with sauce on top. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes.Topping: Dribble over top of cake after taken from pan or left in pan and still hot. Let cool.
