Cranberry sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- raw cranberries - 4 c
How to make cranberry sauce:
Place the cranberries, sugar and water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to the boil, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer until the berries break open and the liquid is reduced a bit. Remove from heat. Add cinnamon and orange peel.The sauce will thicken as it cools. It will last, refrigerated, up to a month.
