Cranberry salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- pkg - 2 oz
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- cold water - 1 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- chopped celery - 2 c
- fresh cranberries - 1 lb
- 2 can crushed pineapple, drained
How to make cranberry salad:
Grind cranberries in food chopper. Place sugar, salt and lemon juice over berries and let stand for 2 hours. Mix gelatin with boiling water. Add cold water and stir until dissolved. When gelatin is syrupy, add cranberry mixture, celery, nuts and pineapple. Place in refrigerator until firm. This salad may also be frozen.
