Cranberry salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cold water - 1/4 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- boiling water - 1/4 c
- can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- hot water - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1 c
- pineapple juice - 1 c
- strawberry gelatin - 1 item
- envelope Knox gelatine - 1 item
- marshmallows, chopped - 12 item
- cranberries, chopped or ground - 1 lb
How to make cranberry salad:
Pour sugar over cranberries. Let stand overnight. Stir sugar in cranberries until dissolved.Make jello with 1/2 cup hot water and 1 cup pineapple juice. Dissolve Knox gelatine in 1/4 cup cold water and add 1/4 cup boiling water. Add to jello and cranberries. Add pineapple, marshmallows, nuts and salt. Refrigerate until congealed.
