Cranberry-orange nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- sugar - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- oleo or butter, softened - 1/4 c
- grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- cranberries, chopped - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
How to make cranberry-orange nut bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease bottom only of 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Stir in oleo until mixture is crumbly. Stir in orange peel, orange juice and egg just until flour is moistened. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes.
