Cranberry-orange nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 3/4 c
- flour - 3 c
- egg - 1 item
- soft shortening - 2 Tbsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- grated orange rind - 4 tsp
- frozen cranberries, halved - 1 c
How to make cranberry-orange nut bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease a loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inch. Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly. Stir in milk. Blend in dry ingredients; stir in. Blend in cranberry halves and nuts. Pour into pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes. (Crack in top of the loaf is characteristic.) Cool thoroughly before slicing with a very sharp serrated knife.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Nuts.
