Cranberry nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- melted butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- fresh cranberries
How to make cranberry nut bread:
In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients together. In small bowl, mix all liquids and combine mixtures. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes. If using a glass pan, lower to 325° and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Makes one large loaf or 2 small loaves.I always make this recipe for Thanksgiving.
