Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • ground ginger - 1/4 tsp
  • ground allspice - 1/8 tsp
  • fresh cranberries - 2 c
  • seedless golden raisins - 1/2 c
  • small can pineapple tidbits, drained - 1 item

How to make cranberry chutney:

Combine all ingredients except pineapple in a heavy saucepan. Stir well. Cook over medium heat 15 or 20 minutes or until the cranberry skins begin to pop. Stir in the pineapple; reduce heat to low and cook an additional 30 minutes, stirring often. Serve warm or cold.
