Cranberry chutney
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- ground ginger - 1/4 tsp
- ground allspice - 1/8 tsp
- fresh cranberries - 2 c
- seedless golden raisins - 1/2 c
- small can pineapple tidbits, drained - 1 item
How to make cranberry chutney:
Combine all ingredients except pineapple in a heavy saucepan. Stir well. Cook over medium heat 15 or 20 minutes or until the cranberry skins begin to pop. Stir in the pineapple; reduce heat to low and cook an additional 30 minutes, stirring often. Serve warm or cold.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Sauces, Chutneys.
