Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • ginger
  • raisins - 1 c
  • ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • medium onion, chopped fine - 1 item
  • celery, chopped fine - 1/2 c
  • fresh cranberries - 1 lb
  • medium apple, chopped fine - 1 item

How to make cranberry chutney:

Add first 7 ingredients together in medium saucepan. Cook until cranberries pop and split. Add last 3 ingredients and simmer all together for 15 minutes.

This chutney improves in flavor after a few days in refrigerator. It will keep nicely for 2 to 3 weeks in covered container in the refrigerator. This is wonderful served with poultry.
