Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- beaten egg - 1 item
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- cranberries, coarsely chopped
How to make cranberry bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix all dry ingredients. Stir in orange juice, shortening and egg. Blend well. Add cranberries. Turn into 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minuRecipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
