Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- orange juice - 1 item
- cranberries - 1 c
- water, hot - 1/4 c
How to make cranberry bread:
Combine and mix thoroughly: flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and baking soda. Add egg, shortening and hot water; add orange juice to make total of 3/4 cup liquid. Add cranberries and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
