Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cornmeal
- bacon drippings - 1/4 c
- cracklings, diced
How to make crackling cornbread:
Combine and sift together dry ingredients. Add well beaten eggs, buttermilk and bacon drippings. Stir until well blended, adding diced cracklings. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Serve hot.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Breads, Time to make.
