  • salt - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • cornmeal
  • bacon drippings - 1/4 c
  • cracklings, diced

How to make crackling cornbread:

Combine and sift together dry ingredients. Add well beaten eggs, buttermilk and bacon drippings. Stir until well blended, adding diced cracklings. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
