Ingredients/Components
- self-rising flour - 1/2 c
- self-rising cornmeal
- to 4 eggs - 3 item
- cracklings - 2 c
- buttermilk watch texture - 2 c
How to make crackling cornbread:
Stir together dry ingredients and cracklings. Add milk and eggs. Put into a hot skillet (iron) which has been prepared with oil and a dusting of cornmeal to keep from sticking. Bake at 350° until done, approximately 30 minutes to brown correctly.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Breads, Time to make.
