  • self-rising flour - 1/2 c
  • self-rising cornmeal
  • to 4 eggs - 3 item
  • cracklings - 2 c
  • buttermilk watch texture - 2 c

How to make crackling cornbread:

Stir together dry ingredients and cracklings. Add milk and eggs. Put into a hot skillet (iron) which has been prepared with oil and a dusting of cornmeal to keep from sticking. Bake at 350° until done, approximately 30 minutes to brown correctly.
