Crackling cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 3/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 1/2 c
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- cornmeal - 1 c
- sour milk
- pork crackling - 1 c
How to make crackling cornbread:
Combine dry ingredients. Add egg, sour milk and oil; blend well. Add 1 cup cracklings, stir and pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 425° for 30 minutes or until done. Cut in squares and serve.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Breads, Time to make.
