Crabmeat casserole
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- sliced fresh mushrooms - 3/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/4 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1/2 item
- can evaporated milk - 1/2 item
- crabmeat - 7 oz
- diced onions - 1/2 c
- seasoned stuffing like Pepperidge Farm - 3/4 c
How to make crabmeat casserole:
Saute onions and mushrooms in butter. Add soup and milk; stir. Remove from heat. Add the egg and mayonnaise. Stir in stuffing, then fold in crabmeat. Pour mixture into greased baking dish. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. This is very rich and will serve small portions to 5 or 6. Double the recipe for a larger group.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Crab.
