Crab salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- lettuce leaves - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1 item
- grated onion - 1 tsp
- minced celery - 1/2 c
- minced pimento - 1 Tbsp
- fresh flaked crab meat or 4 cans crab meat - 1 lb
- minced parsley, thin cucumber slices cut in swirls, small tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs possible garnishes - 2 Tbsp
How to make crab salad:
Combine crab, celery, onion and pimento in bowl. Sprinkle with salt and lemon juice; toss to mix. Add just enough mayonnaise to moisten; mix well. Spoon onto bed of lettuce and sprinkle with parsley. Garnish with cucumber, tomato or egg slices. Serve with additional mayonnaise on the side.
