Crab dip
Ingredients/Components
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- few drops Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- white crab meat - 1 lb
How to make crab dip:
Soften butter and cream cheese in microwave or allow to soften at room temperature. Combine with minced onion and Worcestershire sauce. Pick through crab meat for shells. Add crab meat to cream cheese mixture.If possible, prepare the night before serving. Refrigerate. Before serving, heat crab mixture in microwave or in small saucepan until hot and bubbly. Keep hot in chafing dish. Serve with crackers or toast. Serves 15 to 20 with other dips.
Note: Add 1/4 teaspoon curry powder for an entirely different taste.
