Ingredients/Components

  • salt
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • egg yolk - 1 item
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 1 Tbsp
  • minced parsley - 2 tsp
  • crabmeat - 2 c
  • flour enough to coat - 1 item
  • dry bread crumbs, sifted - 1 item

How to make crab cakes:

Mix first seven ingredients together. Press mixture into firm cakes (8 to 10). Chill well. Before serving, dip cakes in flour, then in egg beaten with water, then dip into bread crumbs. Melt butter in frying pan. Saute cakes quickly over high heat until brown, turning once.
