Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • egg yolks, slightly beaten - 2 item
  • size crabmeat - 2 cans
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
  • dash of cayenne - 1 item
  • soft white bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • dry bread crumbs - 3/4 c
  • salad oil - 1 item

How to make crab cakes:

Melt butter in medium saucepan; remove from heat. Stir in flour to make smooth mixture. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring, reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Beat some hot mixture into egg yolks. Return to rest of mix
