Crab au gratin
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/3 tsp
- plain flour - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/3 tsp
- grated cheese
- Tabasco - 1/8 tsp
- white crab meat - 1 lb
How to make crab au gratin:
Mix flour, salt and pepper with part of the milk. Beat all the lumps out. Add remaining milk and 1 cup cheese (reserve 1/3 cup for topping). Cook in double boiler until smooth. Add Tabasco and crab meat. Pour into casserole. Top with remaining cheese and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.Note: Cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined may be used instead of crab.
