Cowboy stew
Ingredients/Components
- hamburger - 1 2
- green pepper, diced - 1 c
- diced onion - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- diced raw potatoes - 2 4
- can tomatoes - 3 lb
- can tomato sauce - 1 item
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
How to make cowboy stew:
Brown hamburger. Add green pepper and onion; cook until tender. Add spices, potatoes, tomatoes and tomato sauce; cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Add drained corn and kidney beans; simmer 15 minutes more.The chili powder can be reduced to taste. Also, depending on how thick you prefer it, the corn and kidney beans can be left undrained.
