- eggs - 2 item
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 item
- self-rising cornmeal - 2 c
- jalapeno peppers, chopped - 4 item
- cheese Cheddar, shredded - 1/2 lb
How to make cowboy cornbread:
Mix cornmeal, eggs, milk, soda, salt, corn and butter; set aside. Cook meat, onion and pepper. Pour 1/2 of cornmeal batter into greased casserole dish. Add meat mixture; sprinkle with cheese.
