Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped tomatoes - 2 c
  • buttered bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • small chopped onion - 1/2 item
  • bulk sausage - 1 lb
  • drained corn - 2 c

How to make country sausage casserole:

Cook sausage until brown; drain and leave. Put 2 tablespoons of drippings in skillet. Saute onion and flour in reserved grease until brown. Add remaining sausage and tomatoes, corn and sugar; mix well. Pour into a 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
