  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • Crisco oil - 1 item
  • paprika - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • whole chicken, cut up - 1 item

How to make country fried chicken:

Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Heat oil 1/2-inch deep in chicken fryer until hot. Cook chicken in oil until light brown on all sides about 10 minutes, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer turning twice until thicke
