Country apple dessert



  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • dairy sour cream - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine, softened - 1/3 c
  • can apple pie filling - 20 oz
  • Pillsbury Plus yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • chopped walnuts, if you like them - 1/2 c

How to make country apple dessert:

Heat oven to 350°. In large bowl combine cake mix, margarine and 1 egg at low speed until crumbly. Press in ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Spread on pie filling. Combine brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. In small bowl blend sour cream, egg and vanilla. Pour over sugar mixture. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until topping is golden. Serve warm or cool. Refrigerate any leftovers.
