Ingredients/Components
- large eggs - 2 item
- vegetable oil
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- granulated sugar
- ground cinnamon
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds - 1 c
- peeled apples, chopped - 3 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 item
How to make country apple cake:
Heat oven to 325°. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, beat eggs, oil and vanilla until well blended. Beat in flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. When completely mixed, batter will be very thick. Stir in nuts and apples.Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake about 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center of pan comes out clean. Remove from oven and serve warm or cold.
