Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- beaten egg - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- large onion - 1 item
- can whole corn, drained - 1 item
- Add other 7 ingredients and let simmer for about 15 minutes
How to make cornbread pie:
Brown onion and beef; drain off fat. Add other 7 ingredients and let simmer for about 15 minutes. Pour into greased casserole dish. Leave room for cornbread.Cornbread:3/4 c. self-rising cornmeal1 Tbsp. flour1 Tbsp. sugar1 beaten egg1/2 c. milk1 Tbsp. melted butter Sift together cornmeal, flour and sugar.
