Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • cans chicken broth - 4 item
  • sage - 1/2 c
  • stalks celery - 5 item
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • poultry seasoning - 1/2 c
  • onions - 2 item
  • pans baked cornbread - 4 item

How to make cornbread dressing:

Bake cornbread; cool and crumble in large bowl. Chop onions and celery; cover with water and boil until tender (using chicken bouillon cubes in water). Mix the following with cornbread: egg, pepper, butter, salt, poultry seasoning, sage and chicken broth (adding 1 can of broth at a time). Add onion and celery mix to cornbread mixture. Bake at 400° in 2 pans.
