Cornbread dressing
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- pepper - 1 Tbsp
- sage - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- bacon drippings - 1/2 c
- cornbread crumbs - 6 c
- broth chicken or turkey - 2 c
- bacon, browned and crumbled - 1 lb
How to make cornbread dressing:
Combine all ingredients. Toss well. (Mixture should be very moist. More water can be added if needed). Cook in a 13 x 9-inch pan or baking dish for 30 to 40 minutes (until browned slightly on top) at 350°.Recipe categories: Christmas, Side dish, Stuffings Dressings.
