Cornbread dressing
Ingredients/Components
- cornbread crumbs - 4 c
- white bread crumbs or 4 c - 4 c
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- onions, chopped - 1 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- sage - 2 3
- hard-boiled eggs - 2 item
- hot chicken broth - 3 c
How to make cornbread dressing:
Melt butter and lightly saute onions and celery in pan. Add to bread crumb mixture, which has been crumbled in bowl. Add other ingredients and mix well with hands or large spoon. Spoon into shallow pans and press. Bake at 400° for about 20 or 25 minutes. Serves 8. Serve with turkey, hen or duck.Recipe categories: Christmas, Side dish, Stuffings Dressings.
