Cornbread dressing
Ingredients/Components
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- sage - 1 tsp
- stalks celery - 2 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- cornbread crumbs - 2 c
- turkey broth
- biscuit crumbs - 4 c
How to make cornbread dressing:
Crumble bread together in a pan and bake at 300° until dry and golden brown. Stir often. Once dry, add butter, eggs, baking powder, salt, pepper, celery and onion. Add sage to taste. Add hot broth and mix well. Bake in greased pan at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.Precook and add turkey or chicken parts into mixture before baking, if desired.
