Corn relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt
- chopped green pepper - 6 Tbsp
- Tabasco sauce - 1/2 tsp
- celery seed
- chopped pimento - 4 Tbsp
- white vinegar
- mustard seed - 3/4 tsp
- cans whole kernel corn, drained - 4 lb
- minced green or white onion - 4 Tbsp
How to make corn relish:
Combine first 6 ingredients in large saucepan and bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes; remove from heat and cool. Add remaining ingredients and blend lightly. Chill. Makes 7 cups.Note: This will keep in refrigerator indefinitely and flavor improves with standing.
