Corn relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- Crisco oil - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- celery, diced - 1 c
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- bell pepper, diced - 1 item
- cans whole kernel corn, drained and set aside - 2 item
How to make corn relish:
Dressing:1/4 c. sugar1/4 c. vinegar1/4 c. Crisco oil1 tsp. salt1 tsp. pepper1 tsp. celery seed Saute celery, bell pepper and onion until crisp and tender in 1 tablespoon oleo. Mix with corn.Dressing: Mix and bring to a boil. Cool and pour over corn mixture. Toss and add 1 jar chopped pimentos. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
