Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- shortening - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- ground beef, browned and drained - 1 lb
- canned tomatoes - 2 c
- baked beans - 1 c
- Jiffy corn bread mix - 1 pkg
How to make corn pone:
Saute onion in shortening. Combine the remaining ingredients. Place in a large casserole. Top with 1/2-inch layer of cornbread batter. Bake at 425° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Corn.
