Corn fritters
Ingredients/Components
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- flour - 1 c
- low-fat sour cream - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- applesauce - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- oil for frying - 1 item
How to make corn fritters:
Combine all ingredients, except oil for frying, in medium bowl. Mix well. Let stand 1 hour. Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil in deep fryer. Drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls into hot oil. Fry a few at a time for 5 to 6 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining batter.
