Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 item
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • chopped parsley - 1/2 c
  • diced potatoes - 1/2 c
  • can corn or 1 bag frozen corn - 1 item

How to make corn chowder:

Simmer the water, onion, celery, potatoes and parsley until half cooked, about 10 minutes. Add the corn. Simmer gently with the other vegetables until nearly done, not more than a few minutes. Add milk and bring the soup just to boiling point without actually boiling. Add seasonings to taste.
