Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 4 medium
  • milk
  • water - 1/3 c
  • margarine or butter - 1 Tbsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • instant chicken bouillon granules - 2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • cubed, peeled potato - 1/2 c

How to make corn chowder:

In a large saucepan, combine frozen corn, potato, onion, water, bouillon cubes and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes or until corn and potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the milk and the margarine. Combine the remaining milk and flour. Combine milk and flour mixture into corn mixture. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 minute more. Makes 4 to 6 side dish servings.
