- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- boiling water - 2 c
- corn meal - 2 c
How to make corn bread:
Sift corn meal and salt together; pour boiling water over, stirring quickly. Add milk quickly to prevent lumping. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in baking powder and butter. Pour into a greased baking pan. Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Southern u.s..
