Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- cornmeal - 1 c
- olive oil - 1/3 c
How to make corn bread:
In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Mix well. Combine in another bowl the oil, egg and milk. Mix well and stir into dry ingredients until blended. Pour into a well buttered 8-inch square pan and bake for 25 minutes. (One half cup sharp Cheddar cheese may be added.)Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Southern u.s..
