Corn and shrimp soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1/2 item
- can Ro-Tel tomatoes - 1 item
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- green onions - 1/2 c
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- peeled shrimp - 1 lb
- ears fresh corn shucked and cleaned - 9 item
- salt, white pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make corn and shrimp soup:
Heat butter and add flour; make medium brown roux. Add onion and saute. Add remaining ingredients except green onions and parsley; let simmer 1 hour. Add water for desired consistency. Add green onions and parsley. Simmer 15 minutes and serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Shellfish, Shrimp.
