Corn and shrimp soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- can Ro-Tel tomatoes - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- green onions - 1/2 c
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- peeled shrimp - 1 lb
- ears fresh corn or 3 cans whole kernel - 9 item
- large can tomato sauce or 1 small can - 1/2 item
How to make corn and shrimp soup:
Heat butter and add flour. Make a medium brown roux. Add onion and saute until done. Add remaining ingredients except green onions and parsley. Let simmer 1 hour. Add water for desired consistency.
