Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • medium green peppers - 2 item
  • medium onions - 2 item
  • medium size carrots - 2 lb

How to make copper pennies:

Cut carrots diagonally and cook in salted water until tender (drain). Cut green peppers and onions; add to drained carrots. Combine and heat soup, sugar, oil, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and vinegar; pour over carrots and let set overnight.
