Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- miniature marshmallows - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- large bananas - 2 item
- pineapple juice - 1/2 c
- 2 can crushed pineapple, drained reserve 1/2 c
- Drizzle lemon juice over sliced bananas; coat with the juice
How to make congealed salad:
Mix jello by package directions, leave off 1 cup of the water. Drizzle lemon juice over sliced bananas; coat with the juice. Mix bananas, pineapple and marshmallows in jello. Chill in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch dish.Topping:1/2 c. milk1/2 c. pineapple juice3/4 c. sugar2 Tbsp. flour1/2 c. margarine1 egg, beaten Mix flour and sugar in heavy saucepan. Add other ingredients; cook until thickens. Cool. Fold in a medium carton of Cool Whip and spread over jello. Serve in squares.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Heirloom/historical.
