Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 2
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
- large egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- plain nonfat yogurt - 1 c
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped green onions - 2 Tbsp
- ground cumin - 1/4 tsp
- yellow cornmeal - 1 c
- jar diced pimento, drained - 1 oz
How to make confetti cornbread:
Heat oil in an 8-inch cast-iron or 8-inch square pan in a 400° oven for 5 minutes. Combine cornmeal and next 8 ingredients in a large bowl. Make a well in center of mixture. Set aside. Combine yogurt, egg and pimento. Add to dry ingredients,Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Grains.
