Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- salad oil - 1 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- large head shredded cabbage - 1 item
- large onions, sliced thinly and separated - 2 item
How to make cole slaw:
Layer cabbage and onion in airtight container until full. Have onions on top. Combine sugar, vinegar, salt, celery seed and pepper in pan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add oil. Let cool some and pour over cabbage and onion mixture. Cover and place in refrigerator. Make ahead.Recipe categories: < 30 mins, Salads, 3 steps or less.
